Don’t be fooled by the slow pace of yin yoga. Although the poses are passive it is still a great work out. With the use of props, yin is suitable for all levels and will meet you where you are. Poses are often held for 3-5 minutes with a focus on the breath and releasing tension as you sink into each pose. It is a quiet, grounding practice that targets the connective tissues: the fascia, ligaments, and tendons. Some of the benefits of yin are, increased flexibility, improved circulation, and reduced stress and anxiety. It’s a beautiful practice for releasing anything you may be holding on to, physically, mentally, and emotionally, that no longer serves you. We end each class with a brief stress releasing meditation and of course savasana. Prop supported practice with more active engagement of large muscle groups. This class is great for anyone looking for a deeper stretch while calming the mind. Guided meditation for 7-10 minutes at the end of class. This is the perfect balance to any class style. Usually focuses on breath, short visualization or body awareness.
You will not be charged for a cancelled class unless the class is full and has a waitlist. We have amended our cancellation cut off time to one hour before class. If you cannot cancel your reservation 1 hour before class time due to an emergency, please email us for refund options. For workshops and mini retreats, you will receive a refund for any cancelled registration prior to 24 hours from the event. If cancelled within 24 hours of the event, your registration will not be refunded.
