Service Description

Don’t be fooled by the slow pace of yin yoga. Although the poses are passive it is still a great work out. With the use of props, yin is suitable for all levels and will meet you where you are. Poses are often held for 3-5 minutes with a focus on the breath and releasing tension as you sink into each pose. It is a quiet, grounding practice that targets the connective tissues: the fascia, ligaments, and tendons. Some of the benefits of yin are, increased flexibility, improved circulation, and reduced stress and anxiety. It’s a beautiful practice for releasing anything you may be holding on to, physically, mentally, and emotionally, that no longer serves you. We end each class with a brief stress releasing meditation and of course savasana.
